August 11, 2023 (prerecorded 8/8): We continue hearing from our political ancestors this week with the 1862 inaugural address of Governor Frederick Holbrook. During his lifetime, Holbrook served as a Captain in a Connecticut militia, a farmer, a Vermont State Senator, and finally, Governor during the Civil War.
